Wallace the Lion
[Chutes Program] Wallace the Lion in Haight Chutes Zoo. Wallace the Lion was on display at both the Haight Street and Fulton Street Chutes. The Zoo at the Fulton Street Chutes was phased out in October, 1907. Wallace and rest of the zoo was sold off to a zoo in Vancouver, B.C.

Fillmore near Eddy
View south on Fillmore between Turk and Eddy, to crowded street scene with horse carts, streetcar and automobiles along street. At left is the Coney Island Amusement Park (which would become the Fillmore Chutes). The street is decorated with flags to celebrate the arrival of the Atlantic Fleet (Great White Fleet) Arches on Fillmore survived until the metal drives of WWII. United Railroads Turk and Fillmore Street Powerhouse beyond and Sacred Heart church in distance on horizon. Louvre Restaurant at left, corner of Fillmore & Eddy.
