Crowds gathered in the street during the streetcar strike to protest United Railroads streetcar staffed by strikebreakers. Pacific Hebrew Orphan Asylum and Home Society Orphanage (Gymnasium building in back) is visible at the far corner of Hayes and Divisadero. The corner building at left still stands in 2021.
