1906 Earthquake and Fire, view east on O'Farrell between Market and Stockton. Crowds assembled on O'Farrell Street watching Call/Spreckels Tower on fire. To its right are the Call Annex and Kamm Buildings. The three-story building on the left is the first Cafe Odeon, 8 O'Farrell St., German Restaurant. It moved to the gore corner of Eddy and Market after the earthquake and fire. The Savings Union Bank was built on the site after the earthquake and fire. The Bancroft History Building can be seen on Market with the damaged Pianos sign of F.W. Spencer. Louvre Restaurant marquee at far right.
