Mission DoloresThe Metropolitan Temple, on east side of Fifth Street at Jessie, designed by William S. Mooser architect. The cornerstone was laid in August, 1876 and it was dedicated on August 5, 1877. It was the home of Rev. Isaac Kalloch's Baptist Church and the scene of his attempted assassination by Charles de Young in 1879. United Undertakers and F.W. Spencer & Co. Guild Pianos. Russian HillUnited Presbyterian Church, West side of Mason between Ellis and Eddy. The church subsequenty moved in around 1895 and the building became the Techau Tavern and vaudebville theatre, before being destroyed in 1906.
