Montgomery St looking north at Bush St. This event on Oct 5, 1927, was the ritual last run of a streetcar down Monterey St, colloquially known as the 'Toonerville Trolley' because it was a rickety affair. See article in SF Chronicle Oct 6, 1927. A carriage, a horse cart, and other vehicles were run on the tracks.
