The two elephants (L) Baldy & (R) Queen Jumbo spent the winter away from their normal carnival entertaining, in Golden Gate Park from November 21 1891 to March 8, 1892 at the Children's Quarter. Dore vase, cannon, cupid statuary groupings (moved to front of bandshell in 1900) and sphinx in front. Building in background left was originally the Royal Bavarian Pavilion at the 1894 Fair. It was converted into an annex to the Memorial Museum.
