Golden Gate Park. Visitors walking past Pool of Enchantment. Old Memorial Museum in background. Originally constructed as the Fine Arts Building for 1894 Midwinter Fair, it was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of de Young Museum. It was demolished in 1929.

Portals of the Past with graffiti, Lloyd Lake. Columns from the entrance to the Alban Towne Mansion on Nob Hill, destroyed in the 1906 earthquake and fire. Portals moved to Golden Gate Park in 1909.

Original sphinxes and Dore vase surrounded by Cupid statuary later placed in front of the Spreckels bandshell. Sweeny Observatory in background. The observatory was a gift to the park from Thomas U. Sweeney (Sweeney's name was misspelled on the observatory.)
