    Immigration Station, Angel Island. The Angel Island Immigration Station served as the main immigration facility on the West Coast of the United States from 1910 to 1940. Immigrant barracks at left, still extant 2021. Administration Buildings at right burned on August 12, 1940, due to an electrical fire, hastening the closure of the station.
