DowntownColorized photo of National Humane Alliance Fountain at intersection of Missio and Otis Streets. The fountain was dedicated July 4th, 1911 and was part of a national effort to place similar fountains around the country. Drinking troughs for horses were on the upper level and bowls for dogs on the lower.

French-made cannon to right of the monument was a Spanish-American war prize. It is now in the Presidio.
