Built over 11 weeks in early 1922. 598 Miramar was the grand prize in the SF Chronicle newspaper's 'Prize Campaign', a subscription drive in which 'nominees' competed for 'votes' awarded by new newspaper subscriptions. The winner was Russell Wilson of Palo Alto.
