The Feed Bag, at 3401 California Street and Laurel Street, one of fourteen local restaurants and bars owned by Harry Meharry; later known as Miz Brown's Feed Bag. Friendly waitresses served old-fashioned fare here until it shuttered in 2004.

3641 California Street, on the south side of the block near Parker Avenue. This small building, set back with parking lot in front, was built in 1950 and used as medical offices. It has been demolished in favor of a mixed-use residential and commercial space building. The rear of apartment units on Parker are at right.

34 West Clay Street, on the north side of the block near 22nd Avenue, is a single-family residence built in 1914. The home was designed by Julia Morgan and is known as the Arthur Holman House for its original ornwer.

3033-3035 Irving Street, a two-unit residence on the south side between 31st and 32nd Avenues, was built in 1950. It is one of a row of similar units on this block.

1547 Ulloa Street near 17th Avenue. This single-family home, on the south side of the block, was built in 1938.
West Portal
In 1951, 1129 Irving between 12th Avenue and Funston was partially vacant. It was also the office of Ben Ostrowski, a contractor/builder. This site is now occupied by a 5-unit building built in 1992.
Sunset Inner
4427 Lincoln Way near 46th Avenue is a single family home built in 1951. In this image it is newly built, for sale, and open for inspection by the W.A. Warnick Company of Noriega Street. The houses flanking this building have been demolished and multiunit apartment houses are in their place.
Golden Gate Park
1230 Wawona Street, on the north side between 23rd and 24th Avenues, and facing Stern Grove, was built in 1950. It and the house to its right are the only two homes on this short block. What appears to be an empty lot on the left is actually the back yard of a home on 24th Avenue.

In 1924, this two-unit residence at 147 9th Ave, between Lake and California, built in 1921, was home to Eda Blankart Funston--a renowned local beauty and widow of Major General Frederick Funston of Spanish American War and 1906 earthquake and fire fame.
