Opened on July 4, 1906. It was envisioned as a multi-use stadium, but popularly called the Polo Field because that sport was played intermittently from the 1920s to 1960s. Donated to San Francisco, she was displayed at the west end of Golden Gate Park from 1909 to 1972, when she was returned to Norway.
