Egyptian-influenced museum building on Music Concourse. Originally constructed as the Fine Arts Building for 1894 Midwinter Fair, it was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of de Young Museum. Dore vase at center. Shows building following repairs after 1906 earthquake.

Group of people gathered on the parapet alongside a large cannon. Statues atop the crenellations flank the group. The gun was an obsolete U.S. Navy 'Parrott Rifle' that Sutro purchased from a scrap dealer in 1896. There was a twin gun located further north on the parapet overlooking the Cliff House.
