The Thinker/Conservatory of flowers in the background.The statue been at the French Pavilion of the PPIE, then purchased by Alma Speckels, and installed in GGP, unveiled on March 21, 1916. It would be moved to the Legion of Honor when it was completed, in 1924.

Band Shell, Spreckels Temple of Music. Four sets of statuary, representing cupids or cherubs, are arrayed across the west end of the concourse in front of the bandshell. These had previously been part of the 1894 Midwinter Fair and were then displayed in front of the Memorial Museum. They were eventually removed from the concourse.

Steel Bridge (Roebling Suspension Bridge) over Middle Drive, view west toward the current Aids Grove. The bridge led from the second Music Concourse and Bandshell (site of today's tennis courts) toward the Conservatory of Flowers and avoided equestrian traffic.
