Golden Gate International Exposition, Treasure Island. Giggling girl posing in front of Federal Building mural 'The Conquest of the West' by Herman Volz. It was the largest mural in the world when created for the GGIE. After the Fair the Navy destroyed it when they took possession of Treasure Island. Herman Volz still has two other murals, mosaic ones he did at City College after the Fair.
