View west from approx. Van Ness Ave and Francisco St. towards Marina, Presidio and Fort Winfield Scott. Lombarda Wine Co. 1535 Francisco. Earthquake refugee shacks at lower right had originally been located on Lobos Square (today's Moscone Field), but in 1908 were moved off the public square and onto private property where they were stored for several years. Barracks and support buildings at Fort Scott in distance were constructed 1909-1912.

1906 Earthquake and Fire, Golden Gate Park Concourse - Memorial Museum, with west wall damaged by earthquake. Originally constructed as the Fine Arts Building for 1894 Midwinter Fair, it was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of de Young Museum.
