Civic Center1906 Earthquake and Fire, Earthquake damaged hospital on California Street near Maple. The hospital had opened on April 10, 1906, only to be seriously damaged in the earthquake. It was repaired, and reopened in 1907, operating until 1931, when it was demolished. In 1941, a newer Hahnemann Hospital was rebuilt on the site, replaced by a new building in 1971. It became a part of Children's Hospital in 1988..
