View east across Ellis to St. Germain Restaurant on left. Under construction is the Cort Theatre (later named Curran, Century, Morosco and Capitol) which opened in Septmber, 1911. It was demolished in 1941. The four-story building to the right of the Cort Theater was built as the Harding Building in 1907, an office structure. It was listed as the Hotel Cort from 1915 to 1928, after which it was listed as the Germaine Hotel from 1931 to 1974. It was vacant in 1975 and demolished sometime after, one of the last SRO hotels east of Powell Street.
