Dirigible U.S.S. Macon
View southeast from rooftop toward Matson and PG&E buildings, to US Navy airship U.S.S. Macon (ZRS-5). The ship was commissioned in June, 1933 and arrived at Naval Air Station Sunnyvale (now Moffett Field) in October, 1933. It was destroyed in a crash off Point Sur, California in February, 1935. flying over downtown.
