The Alhambra was built as the Republican Wigwam in 1890, and was remodeled into the Alhambra Theater in 1899. The four-story brick building down the block is The Lexington lodging house at 212-214 Eddy, built in 1893. The six-story brick building across Eddy Street from The Lexington is another lodging house, The Colonnade, at 219 Eddy, built in 1905. (PF)
