Elevated view northwest across Market to fire at 660 Market (Realty Building), which started in the basement of the Waldorf Cafe. The building was demolished shortly thereafter. Its demolition had been planned before the fire to enable the building of a replacement by its owner, the Crocker Estate, and some tenants had already vacated earlier in 1923.
