The big brick structure in the middle right is Dashaway Hall with its front on Post between Kearny and Dupont (now Grant), and its rear on Morton Street (Maiden Lane). White building to right of Temple Emanu-el with gables and veranda, at northwest corner of Sutter & Stockton, was the mansion of pioneer physician Augustus J.
