Bernal HeightsView southeast across Mission Street from 12th Street to Ocean Shore Railroad Depot on the southeast corner along with promotional offices for coastside developments at (El Granada) and Salada Beach (now Pacifica). Sign for Coast Side Transportation Company. South Van Ness Avenue now runs straight through the right side of this view. The building at left still stands at 1563 Mission.
South of MarketDepot for Powell Street Railroad/ Ferries & Cliff House Railroad steam trains. Building still there at GG Park entrance. This was the last station that served steam trains, built and opened in 1890. Went out of commission in 1894 because of the Midwinter Exposition world's fair.
Golden Gate Park[DPW 1567] View north toward Bernal Heights, The aqueduct is a 44" pipe built by the Spring Valley Water Co. in the late 1800's. It carries water from the Crystal Springs Reservoir in San Mateo County to San Francisco via the University Mound reservoir. The trestle was built by the Ocean Shore Railway Co. in 1906, and was filled in 1914-15. Alemany Blvd. now runs along the alignment of the trestle
