The west slope of Lone Mountain shows the effects of the December 26, 1935 landslide which closed Parker Avenue for over a year.

Large columned home on the northwest corner of Pacific and Gough belonged to Rudolph Spreckels (built in 1899, demolished around 1960). Most of the buildings in this view have been demolished.
