Looking northwest. Homes on Green Street at Jones, bottom of picture. The horse and wagon are at Union and Leavenworth. The flat structure top center is the Spring Valley Reservoir between Lombard and Greenwich and Hyde. To avoid confusion, the existing Octagon House is half a block west near Leavenworth. The octagon house showing at the bottom of the picture was replaced by another structure that survived 1906 and was torn down in 1950 to be replaced by a concrete apartment house.
