Large corner mansion with tower and gardens front and back was at southwest corner of Pierce and Union and built circa 1884 by wealthy attorney and landowner David Bixler. Four story windmill and water tank on Union above Pierce. House at center with Mansard roof was home of Louis Schultz at 2426 Filbert. Probably taken from near Broadway and Fillmore.
