1906 Earthquake and Fire, View north to Pioneer (James Lick) Monument in front of ruins of City Hall, near Hyde and Grove Streets. In 1993, the monument was moved to the pedestrian mall on Fulton Street between the Asian Art Museum and the new Main Library. French-made cannon in front of monument was a Spanish-American war prize, presented by the Army in a ceremony on March 21, 1900. It is now in the Presidio. [G45 SEF-020](GGNRA/Behrman GOGA 35346)
