Ord & Saturn

80 Ord Street. (still standing) Italianate Victorian on Ord near Saturn Steps. Carlo Balzarini, a long-time steward at the famous Campi's Restaurant (33-35 O'Farrell) owned and lived in the house. Mr Balzarini continued to live here into the early 20th century; that may be him with the muttonchops whiskers in the photo. The house was then known as 56 Clara Avenue. -WMK [Ord Street Collection] [SC64]
