Downtown / Union Square[O'Conner & Moffatt fire, Post St. 1883 OF-53] View south across Post to mostly destroyed four story building known as Morton House, located at 111-121 Post St. (and 10-20 Morton St.) Fire broke out in the early morning of June 20, 1883 in the building, which housed dry goods concern O'Connor, Moffatt & Co. and which also held a billiard parlor and the Olympic Club (where the fire started in a card room).
