15th and De Haro, View southwest toward the demolition of the Mission Creek incinerator. The 204 foot incinerator, built 1897, was demolished with 24 charges of dynamite. View northeast across 9th to Webb's Sandwich Shop, at 633 9th Street between Brannan and Division. This was an industrial area crisscrossed with railroad tracks prior to the construction of the Central Freeway and the extension of the Bay Bridge Approach. In the background is the tower of paper company, Blake, Moffitt and Towne, the building now known as 888 Brannan (Built as the National Carbon Building).

Westinghouse Electric Supply Co., official address 201 Potrero Avenue. This heavy timber frame and brick industrial building was designed by E. P. Antonovich and built in 1911. The structure occupies the entire south side of 15th Street between Potrero and Utah. Image shows the Utah and 15th side.
