Golden Gate International Exposition, Federal Building colonnade, with mural by Herman Volz, entitled 'The Conquest of the West'. It was at that time the largest mural in the world. After the Fair the Navy destroyed it when they took possession of Treasure Island. Herman Volz still has two other murals, mosaic ones he did at City College after the Fair.
