Tony Arioli Califtony707@aol.com message: this image was taken around 1949 - the right side of the photo does not show the Standard Oil Building which was adding a west wing to it at the time (completed, June, 1950), and the photographer may not have wanted to show it. Also, there is no California St. wing to the old Metropolitan Life Building which would be obscuring the red pagoda just below the red 'Bank of America' sign in the lower center-right of the picture - it was completed in mid-1953.
