Logan, sailing ship
2-masted schooner Robert W. Logan (architect Hugo P. Frear, naval architect at Union Iron Works) tied up on San Francisco waterfront. Numerous people posed on board and on dock. It sailed from San Francisco to Ruk (now Chuuk) Micronesia on November 15, 1895 to engage in missionary work. It was owned by the American Board of Missions of the Congregational Church. It replaced a schooner of the same name built in 1890 and reported missing in 1895. This picture was printed in the January, 1896 Missionary Herald. It was fitted at the Main Street Wharf.
