Appraiser's Building

Elevated view northeast toward the intersection of Sansome and Washington. The US Appraiser's Building, Sansome Street between Washington & Jackson, built around 1877. It survived the 1906 earthquake and fire. It was demolished and replaced by the current building in 1939. US Customs Building is visible at right.
