California & Leidesdorff
February 12, 1908
View north on Leidesdorff to Bank of California on northwest corner; the building was originally the London and San Francisco Bank, built in 1873-1874. It survived the 1906 earthquake and fire and was rehabbed by Willis Polk, who added a short top story, shown here under construction. Side of Merchant's Exchange Building in foreground left.
