Memorial Museum

Museum - Golden Gate Park, SF, Ca. issued by Passenger Department, Southern Pacific Co. Fine Arts Building for Fair was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of de Young Museum. Dore vase, cannon, cupid statuary groupings (moved to front of bandshell in 1900) and sphinx in front. Building in background left was originally the Royal Bavarian Pavilion at the 1894 Fair. It was converted into an annex to the Memorial Museum.
