from: Tony Arioli - Califtony707@aol.com message: This image was taken in 1954 - the black & white SP atop the Southern Pacific Building went up that March; just to the right of the Standard Oil Building (the L shaped building to the lower right of the nearest Bay Bridge tower with the orange coloration), another skyscraper would arise in mid-1955 - the white marbled Equitable Life Assurance Building.
