[Corporation Yard possibly Quint Street adjacent to Southern Pacific RR (Caltrain) track. Various views of the burned wreck of Truck 8. On July 12, 1962 Truck 8 was responding to an alarm with lights, siren, and air horn when it was struck by a tractor trailer as Truck 8 crossed against the light at Third and Harrison. The crash instantly killed firefighter Joseph B. Cuff, married with 5 sons, and injured 5 other firefighters and the truck driver. The truck driver was tried for misdemeanor manslaughter but was acquitted claiming he did not hear the siren or air horn. SF Chronicle July 13, 1962 and March 6, 1963.]
