[SF Mansions Flood B-way] James Leary Flood residence, built in 1914-15. Occupied by Convent & Stuart Hall schools. Courtyard with marble steps, bench, railing, and friezes around niche and entryway. From a 1970's tour brochure (author unknown) of The Flood Mansion: 'During the Floods' tenure. the cortile (Italian garden) had a reflecting pool in the center and a fountain at the east end. The cortile still boasts the giant fern trees brought from Australia for the Panama Pacific Exhibition.' The doors leading to the entrance hall are bronze. .
