View north to demolition of the de Young Museum. Leonidas statue (aka Roman Gladiator, Willem Geefs, 1881) at left. Exhibited at the 1894 Midwinter Fair, later moved to where M.H. de Young turned the first spade of dirt to begin construction of the fair.
