Green near Mason

View northeast to 857 Green Street, between Mason and Taylor. This was the home of California Senator and Governor Hiram W. Johnson, beginning in about 1909. The garages still stand, but the hillside and small house have been replaced by the high rise Royal Towers Apartments, built 1963. (Ansco Color transparency)
