Elevated view southeast from Post and Scott towards City Hall over Hamilton Square. Configuration at this time (from right) was playground, baseball diamond, tennis courts, baseball diamond. Girls' High School (later Gateway Charter High School) at upper right. Playground is the present site of the Western Addition Library. Homes in center background across Geary are the present site of Raymond Kimball Playground. Homes in left background and portion of park were demolished for Western Addition redevelopment and Geary widening.
