Lands End Station

Construction of Lands End Station on the Cliff Line (formerly Ferries & Cliff House line). Served as passenger waiting room, curio shop and food concession until demolished in 1940. [Reconstruction Ferries & Cliff Line.55] Observation streetcars could pull over on a siding and people could get off and have their photo taken. The railroad right-of-way is now part of a walking path. - United Railroads [U00469]

Ferry Building

View southeast from Embarcadero to well dressed large party of adults and children posing in front of original Ferry Building and horse drawn carriages and horse drawn streetcars. A wooden clock tower was added to the building after its opening in September, 1875, and was completed in January, 1877. C.P.R.R.
