Golden Gate Park. View north from Music Concourse, past pedestrian underpass, to Memorial Museum. Originally constructed as the Fine Arts Building for 1894 Midwinter Fair, it was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of de Young Museum. Building at left was originally the Royal Bavarian Pavilion at the 1894 Fair. It was converted into an annex to the Memorial Museum. 'Apple Cider Press' statue by Thomas Shields Clarke, Dore vase, original sphinxes flanking entry.

View north on Mason from Market, Admission Day Monument (Native Sons Monument) in original location. Tivoli Opera House at Eddy and Mason in background. Building at left is The Metropole lodging house, built around 1883. The four-story building next door at 5 Mason is either recently remodeled from three to four stories with bay windows added on, or rebuilt, though still a lodging house. The building next to it at 9 Mason is the San Francisco Whist Club which was listed there from 1901 through 1905.
