Pier 7, USS General Haan Arrives with Russian Displaced Persons, over 1100 displaced persons were brought to SF from Shanghai by way of the Philippines. Col. Pavel A. Savich and Mrs. Sophie Zabeaken with dog, Sandy (8 yrs). On board ship, with Alcatraz in distance.
