US101 construction

View north toward Potrero Hill. This segment of US101 (between Army/ Cesar Chavez Blvd. and Augusta Street, just south of Alemany Blvd.) was built between April 1949 & May 1951. Judging by the progress of the construction, the photo looks to have been taken sometime in 1950. (TA)
