Grove near Larkin

May 20, 1913

Elevated view northwest to Commerce High School moved off old foundation for relocation. It was constructed after the 1906 earthquake, then plans for the new Civic Center required that it be moved to another location.The building now stands at Fell and Franklin. Broadway near Powell

Jean Parker School, 840 Broadway, north side between Mason and Powell. The building has been replaced by a new one, but the arched entrance at center was retained and incorporated into the new structure. Jean Parker was the principal at The Broadway School from 1880 to 1901. When she retired, the school was renamed for her. [dpwbook7 dpw1664]
