Shipwreck at Ocean Beach opposite Kirkham January 28, 1916. On January 28, 1916, rough seas near the Golden Gate capsized the steam schooner Aberdeen on its way back from dumping garbage near the Farallones. Broken pieces washed up on Ocean Beach [dpwbook15 dpw2994]
