September 19, 1917
Irving Scott School, Minnesota between 20th and 22nd. Built around 1877, the school sat on the site of the current playground. In 1895, the school was expanded with another building, facing Tennessee Street. (visible behind this building) That building still stands as SFLandmark 138. The school was named for benefactor and Union Iron Works Superintendent at the time of expansion, Irving M.Scott. Edwardian residences along Minnesota still stand in modified condition.
