[Old museum dpwbook22 dpw5368] View north across pedestrian tunnel to older and later buildings of the de Young Museum. Originally constructed as the Fine Arts Building for 1894 Midwinter Fair, the Egyptian-style building was renamed Memorial Museum in 1895 and eventually became part of the de Young. It was demolished in 1929. Replacement sphinxes, Cider Press statue, Dore Vase. Newer de Young building at left.
